My students consistently report increases in test scores, grade levels, ease of studying, and interest in reading and writing. Students who previously “hated writing” often write stories, enter and win writing contests, and score higher on school essays after tutoring sessions with me. In addition, students report decreases in test and homework anxiety.
After working with me, high school students typically see an increase in SAT scores of hundreds of points. Average students start between 300-600 on any particular section and rise to 600-800 on that section. Two recent examples: A student jumped from a score of 370 to 700 on the SAT Writing section after three tutoring sessions. Another student saw an increase of a score of 4 to the highest score of 12 on the essay portion of the test. High school graduate Lynette says, “Alyssa has raised my critical reading score by over 200 points. She even helped me reach a full 800 on the writing portion...and [helped] me reach well over 700 points on the SAT Literature Subject Test.”
